Station to station walk over the Surrey hills from Caterham to Redhill.

- Exit Caterham station and turn right, cross over Stafford Road and follow the Church Hill for about 20m until Waller Lane on the right.
- Turn right on Waller Lane and follow the land uphill for around 100m until you reach a set of steps (leading up to the cemetery) on your right.
- Follow the steps up to the cemetery, at the top take the middle path and head towards the church (St Mary the Virgin).
- When you reach the church, follow the cemetery exit onto Church Road.
- Cross Church Road and turn right, following along the side of Church Road until you reach the bus stop & public footpath after about 50m on the left.
- Follow the footpath as it leads past the Croquet Club (on your right), and past the tennis courts (also on your right) until you reach Queens Park.
- Staying on the path that runs along side the park, follow the path to the end of the park where the path follows into an alleyway.
- Continue on the path which becomes Wood Lane, following it down hill with fields on your left and houses on the your right.
- At the end of Wood Lane, the path exits to Roffes Lane.
- Cross Roffes Lane and head straight towards The Heath, following The Heath until it reaches Chaldon Common Road.
- Turn left onto Chaldon Common Road, them after about 20 m, right onto Birchwood Lane.
- Follow Birchwood Lane to the end (about 1km), where you are presented with a footpath cross-roads.
- Proceed straight towards a stile, and over it, into the field.
- Follow the path through the field (was marked with logs) until the next stile, crossing over 2 further stiles until you reach Hilltop Farm.
- At Hilltop Farm, continue straight to Hilltop Lane and turn left, then after 50m turn right onto Pilgrims Lane.
- Continue along Pilgrams Lane, passing Ockley Hill trig point on your left, before making your way down hill towards the M23.
- As you approach the motorway, follow the path through the underpass, then bearing left as you exit.
- Follow the pathway through a tree lined route for about 100m until you reach Rockshaw Road.
- Cross over Rockshaw Road and turn right, following the road for about 200m until you reach a kissing gate on your left.
- Proceed through the gate and down a narrow footpath which opens out to a green space before reaching a footbridge over the M25.
- Cross the footbridge and proceed straight over the grassy mound, and down the hill on the other side until you reach Malmstone Avenue.
- At Malmstone Avenue, cross the road and proceed along the footpath into the park.
- Pass through the park, exiting on Bletchingley Road.
- Cross Bletchingley Road and turn left before heading right into Bletchingley Close.
- Follow Bletchingley Close to the end and into the park, following the path as it turns right, then left, passing football pitches on your left hand side until you reach Merstham Recreation Ground.
- Continue straight along the path making your way to the far side exit onto Chilberton Drive.
- Turn right onto Chilberton Drive, following it round to left until it meets Nutfield Road.
- Turn left on Nutfield Road and continue past Mill Lane until you reach a mini-roundabout.
- Cross Nutfield Road before the mini-roundabout and cross Holmesdale Avenue heading through a treeline footpath, and through a kissing gate into Holmethorpe Lagoons.
- Continue along the path, passing between 2 lakes, until you reach another kissing gate.
- Pass through the gate and take the right hand path across a small wooden bridge before turning left.
- At the T-junction of paths, take the left hand path and follow it round to the right into tree-lined avenue that runs parallel with the railway.
- At the next T-junction, turn right and continue parallel with the railway line.
- Continue along the path until it makes a short climb up and across the railway line before exiting onto Cavendish Road.
- Turn right on Cavendish Road and follow until the road narrows to a pathway that exits on Noke Drive.
- Cross over Noke Drive and turn left, heading towards Redhill, crossing St Annes Drive.
- Follow the path round to the right and under Redhill Station bridge. The station entrance is about 10m on your right.
