Navigation

  1. Exit Swanley station left onto Everest Place and follow until you reach St Mary’s Road where you turn left
  2. After about 50 yards turn left onto Southern Place, following the road to the end where it narrows to a bush-lined path to a set of steps over the railway.
  3. Follow the path over the railway where it bears right after the steps and heads down and under the A20 road underpass.
  4. Shortly after you exit the underpass, bear left (with the sports field on your left) and follow the path until you get to Stones Cross Road / Green Court Road
  5. On Stones Cross Road (with the War Memorial in front of you), bear right and follow the road for about 200 meters until you reach a small row of terrace houses on the right, with the public footpath sign. Turn right and follow the footpath.
  6. Follow the path up hill until the crest, where the path forks.
  7. Take the left hand fork and follow that until you reach Cray Road after about 500m
  8. Cross over Cray Road and head down Tylers Green Road until the junction of Tylers Green Road and Darns Hill.
  9. Bear left onto Darns Hill and follow it for about 200m until you reach a fork, bear right and follow until you get to a kissing gate before a coppice.
  10. Head through the kissing gate through the coppice and out onto open pastures, heading across to the kissing gate on the far end of the field
  11. Head through the gate, across the pasture to a final kissing gate before joining the road heading towards the farm.
  12. Proceed straight, keeping on the concrete pathway, passing through the farm (with the outbuildings on the your right) until you reach Gorse Road
  13. Cross Gorse Road and head through the kissing gate on the other side. Head straight with the poly tunnels on your left, down through another kissing gate.
  14. After about 100m, the path bears left, follow it until you reach Skeet Hill Lane.
  15. Turn right onto Skeet Hill Lane and continue for about 100m until you see the public footpath sign on the left.
  16. Head through the kissing gate and up a slight hill towards another small coppice.
  17. Make you way through the coppice and out onto an arable field, keep walking straight towards the woods (Black Bush Wood).
  18. Don’t enter the wood, but follow the path to the left with the woods on your right.
  19. Shortly after about 100m you’ll reach the edge of the field, bear right into the woods briefly to exit again onto another field
  20. Follow the path across the field until you reach Skibbs Lane.
  21. Bear left on Skibbs Lane, heading into Chelsfield
  22. After about 500m you’ll arrive at the crossroad of Skibbs Lane / Bucks Cross Road
  23. Cross Bucks Cross Road and head between the cricket club building and village hall.
  24. Carefully bear left in front of the cricket club (keeping off the pitch!), and head towards the boundary hedge on the left, where there is an entrance to the allotments.
  25. Follow the path through the allotments, passing over a style and onto pastures
  26. Cross the pastures to the the adjacent wood and over another style and briefly through a small wood, emerging onto orchards by Hewitts Farm Shop
  27. Turn right and follow the field boundary, bearing left at the edge of the field
  28. After about 100m pass over the style on your right, heading across the field towards Court Road.
  29. Cross over Court Road, and turn right along the path.
  30. After about 100m, turn right onto the public footpath which skirts around Chelsfield Golfcourse.
  31. Keeping on the path, crossing the green and bearing left until you get to a tarmac path that takes you over the A21.
  32. Follow the path downhill and over the railway bring, turning right on Sevenoaks Road before immediately turning right again into Knockholt Station.
